Warwick senior three-sport standout Eric Resch and Donegal senior two-sport star Nicky Hess have been named the Lancaster-Lebanon League’s A. Landis Brackbill Award winners for this school year.
Resch was an all-league running back in football, had a solid season on the wrestling mats and was an all-league lacrosse player this spring for the Warriors.
Last fall, Resch was the fifth-leading rusher in the league with 1,332 yards and 19 touchdowns.
He will attend Penn State and try and walk-on to the Nittany Lions’ nationally ranked wrestling team.
Hess was a four-year starter in basketball and in softball for the Indians, and she helped Donegal win the state softball title in her freshman season. She also finished her fine basketball career with 1,425 points – the most in school history.
Hess will play basketball for Messiah.
The Brackbill Award is named for A. Landis Brackbill, the first executive director of the L-L League. The award is given to a senior boy and girl student-athlete who maintained a 3.0 GPA and played in at least 75 percent of at least two PIAA-sponsored sports in one school year.
