Girls’ basketball coach steps down after six seasons on Warriors’ bench
Warwick coach Matt Reber has resigned his post after six seasons as the Warriors’ girls’ basketball coach.
Warwick went 63-77 under his watch, including a 10-12 mark this season. The Warriors needed a win on the last night of the regular season to clinch a district playoff spot, but fell to Manheim Township in overtime.
“I’m proud of what we accomplished the last six years,” Reber said. “The administration at Warwick has been absolutely awesome, and they’ve always gone to bat for me.”
Reber said he stepped down to spend more time with his family. He and his wife, Kelly, are the parents of a 14-week-old boy, Brody, and Reber said it was time to settle down.
“I’m going to be a dad,” he said.
Reber guided Warwick to the District 3 Quad-A playoffs three times. He did not rule out a return to the coaching ranks in the future.
