Cancer Benefit Night is Monday at Township

Just a friendly reminder that Monday’s L-L League girls’ basketball Section 1-2 crossover game featuring Lebanon at Manheim Township will be Cancer Benefit Night.

Township coach Lance Wagner and Lebanon coach Carlos Sanchez co-organized the event, and they sold more than 2,000 t-shirts, with all proceeds going to cancer research.

Twenty (20) of the 24 L-L League programs are participating in one way or another, including 12 wrestling teams, seven boys’ basketball teams and 15 girls’ basketball teams.

On Monday, Township’s and Lebanon’s players will wear the black and lavender t-shirts during warmups, and both teams will wear lavender socks during the game.

Both coaching staffs will wear the t-shirts during the game.

And prior to tip-off, there will be a “Parade of Donors” with pledges for the American Cancer Society, Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and Relay for Life.
