Golden Mules’ coach chats about QB Ben Miller, the New Era Player of the Week … and his football program
He coached his team to a share of the L-L League Section 2 crown and into the District 3 playoffs for the first time since 1991 last season.
Joe Pearson and his staff have a good thing going on at Solanco these days. They have the program back on track, and in line for a return trip to Districts if the Golden Mules can finish this season with another win or two – two would be nice.
I chatted with Coach Pearson on Monday about his quarterback – senior Ben Miller, who earned New Era Player of the Week honors after throwing five touchdowns passes in Solanco’s 48-28 triumph over Ephrata last Friday.
We also chatted about the state of his program, and Solanco’s shot to get back to the postseason.
