Reinhart’s ‘3 Stars’ for Week 8 are as follows:
George Murray, Ephrata — Whopper of a game for the Mountaineers’ junior dual threat, who had a 56-yard TD run, a 50-yard TD catch, and he tossed a 65-yard TD pass. Murray rushed 18 times for 114 yards, caught four passes for 79 yards, blocked two extra points and was in on six total tackles on defense for Ephrata, which dropped a 48-28 decision to Solanco. But what a game for Murray.

Chris Schaffer, FB, and Eric Resch, RB, Warwick — Going teammates for this pick, as both of the Warriors’ backs gouged out more than 100 yards in Warwick’s 27-7 win over previously unbeaten Penn Manor. Resch rushed for 111 yards and had TD runs of 4, 2 and 11 yards, respectively. And Schaffer rushed for 104 yards (102 in the first half alone) and hauled in a 23-yard TD catch for Warwick, which knocked Penn Manor out of a first-place tie with Wilson. Resch cracked the 1,000-yard plateau with his big night.
Gary Gristick, Cedar Crest — Huge game for the Falcons’ QB against McCaskey. The 6-for-7 for 85 yards passing line doesn’t completely jump out at you. But five of Gristick’s six completions went for touchdowns: 10 yards to Joe Groff, 5 yards and 7 yards to Josh Branch, 13 yards to Paul Harpel and 40 yards to Sean Sellers. Cedar Crest beat McCaskey 49-17, snapping a four-game losing skid in the process.
