Here are your Week 7 L-L League Quarterback Club Players of the Week …
SECTION 1
BACK OF THE WEEK – Hempfield QB Jarvis Cummings completed 2-of-3 passes for 89 yards and a touchdown through the air, and he had nine keepers for 178 yards (19.9 yards per carry) and a TD run on the ground, good for 267 yards of total offense in the Black Knights’ 54-14 win over Cedar Crest.
LINEMAN OF THE WEEK – Hempfield OG/DE Jason Dougherty had a 95 percent blocking grade, made three pancake blocks and threw a key block on a touchdown play on offense, and on defense he had a pair of solo tackles, assisted on two others, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and blocked a punt in the Black Knights’ 54-14 win over Cedar Crest.
SECTION 2
BACK OF THE WEEK – Cocalico RB/DB Kyle Fisher rushed 12 times for 140 yards and scored two touchdowns and also caught a TD pass on offense, and on defense he two solo tackles, assisted on another and broke up two passes in the Eagles’ 35-34 win over Elizabethtown.
LINEMAN OF THE WEEK – Garden Spot’s Zac Boley had nine total tackles, forced a fumble and had a fumble recovery – and had a 92 percent blocking grade in the trenches – in the Spartans’ 30-0 win over Ephrata.
SECTION 3
BACK OF THE WEEK – Lancaster Catholic QB Kyle Smith went 9-for-14 for 194 yards and tossed three touchdowns through the air, and he also had six carries for 64 yards and added a TD run on the ground in the Crusaders’ 61-0 win over Northern Lebanon.
LINEMAN OF THE WEEK – L-S DE/TE Zach Halpin had eight total tackles, four sacks, five QB hurries and batted down a pass on defense, and he caught one pass for 27 yards on offense in the Pioneers’ 39-0 win over Donegal.
