Field hockey buffs … the District 3 playoff brackets are set, and a boatload of L-L League teams are in the field. Check it out:

TRIPLE-A — Penn Manor (16-0-1) is the No. 1 seed, and will be joined by Hempfield (10-7-1), Solanco (8-7), L-S (12-6), Ephrata (9-7), Manheim Central (9-9), Warwick (13-4-1), Cocalico (12-6) and Conestoga Valley (10-6-2). Penn Manor has a first-round bye.

DOUBLE-A — Lancaster Mennonite (15-2-1), Donegal (14-2), ELco (10-8), plus Lancaster Country Day (11-6). Mennonite and Donegal have first-round byes.

The tournament gets started with play-in games on Friday.
