Week 7 … Friday night finals

October 11th, 2008 12:00 am · 0 comments

Just returned from Elizabethtown, where I blogged live from a wildly entertaining L-L League Section 2 showdown, won by Cocalico — 35-34 over E-town. The loss bumped the Bears out of a first-place tie with Manheim Central, which topped archrival Conestoga Valley and moved into sole possession of first place in Section 2.

Section 1, meanwhile, is down to a two-way tie for first, after Wilson dismantled Reading 46-6, and Penn Manor edged Manheim Township 20-19 in an instant classic, leaving the Bulldogs and the Comets tied atop the section race.

And in Section 3, Lancaster Catholic and Annville-Cleona each earned shutout victories to remain tied for first.

Much, much, much more to follow on these games, and looking forward to Week 8.
