Crusaders’ coach previews Friday’s showdown against Northern Lebanon
You just know Lancaster Catholic has been salivating for this game for the last, oh, 10 months or so.
The Crusaders were in cruise control heading into Week 10 last season. The scenario was simple: Beat Northern Lebanon – which had lost three of its last four games – and Catholic was the outright Section 3 champ.
Instead, the Vikings tossed a monkey wrench into those plans, topping Catholic 17-13 in Fredericksburg and forcing a tie between the Crusaders and Lampeter-Strasburg for the Section 3 title.
So Catholic will have revenge on its mind Friday, when Northern Lebanon pays a visit to Rossmere for a much-anticipated (to say the least) Section 3 game.
The Vikings (2-1 in the section) can knock Catholic (3-0) out of at least a tie with a victory.
