Head Baron chats about wild 56-33 win over Cocalico

Needless to say, Manheim Central football coach Mike Williams was a pretty happy camper late Friday, after his Barons rallied for a mucho impressive 56-33 L-L League Section 2 win at Cocalico.

Central trailed 14-0 in the second quarter before Williams inserted senior Jeremy Knosp at quarterback, and the floodgates opened.

The Barons scored more points on Friday vs. Cocalico (56) than they had scored in their first three games combined (55).

And after back-to-back losses (to Wilson and Lancaster Catholic), it’s safe to say that the win over previously unbeaten Cocalico has Central back on everyone’s radar.

I caught up with Coach Williams after the game Friday, and he chatted about his quarterback flip-flop and the big win over Cocalico.
