Spirits were high at Columbia’s football practice on Monday afternoon.
And why not?
The Crimson Tide went on the road and knocked off a solid Daniel Boone team 48-47 in overtime last Saturday night.
It was Columbia’s first win this season – after two otherwise forgettable losses to open the season.
I caught up with Tide coach Jason Shoff during a break in practice on Monday. We chatted about Dakotah Lightfoot’s breathtaking 331-yard, 5-TD performance against Daniel Boone, about the importance of finally picking up a win, and a look ahead to Friday’s Section 3 opener against Lampeter-Strasburg.
