Eagles’ senior scatback chats about his fullback, Austin Hartman, after win over Annville-Cleona
Kyle Fisher was up to his old tricks again Thursday night, rushing for more than 170 yards in Cocalico’s 41-7 non-league win at Annville-Cleona.
He rushed for 190 yards last Friday night against Exeter, after piling up 164 yards against Lampeter-Strasburg in the season opener.
But Fisher has had plenty of help in the backfield through three weeks.
Cocalico’s new feature fullback, sophomore Austin Hartman, has been a handful for opposing tacklers.
Thursday against Annville-Cleona, Hartman broke loose for 190 yards, teaming with Fisher to form quite the 1-2 punch.
I caught with Fisher after Thursday night’s game and chatted with him about Hartman, and what’s it like being in the same backfield with him.
He shared some pretty cool stories with me about Hartman – and Hartman’s work ethic, which is mighty strong for a sophomore three games into his varsity career.
