Former Manheim Central standout chats about being in Miami Dolphins camp

Former Manheim Central star Mike Byrne in his days at Delaware // LNP photoMike Byrne was one of the best linemen to ever play for Manheim Central.

He went on to have an outstanding career for the University of Delaware.

Byrne’s name was not called during the NFL Draft last spring – but on draft day, he got a call from the Miami Dolphins, who offered the former Barons’ stud a free-agent contract.

Byrne was in camp with the Dolphins, and even played in three preseason games.

But he was released from the team late in camp.

He’s currently working out and staying in touch with his agent, who is trying to get Byrne back on an NFL roster.

I caught up with Byrne last Friday night after the Wilson-Manheim Central game in West Lawn.

In this audio Podcast interview, Byrne chats about his experience with the Dolphins, and how he hopes to get back in the NFL soon.
