Barons’ coach gives us a preview of Central’s showdown non-league game at Wilson

Those were the days — Mike Williams and players with state-title trophy // LNP photoMike Williams is in his 28th season as Manheim Central’s football coach.

He’s coached in a gazillion big games in his days.

Make it a gazillion and one.

On Friday, Williams will take his Barons to West Lawn, where Wilson and its menacing defense will be ready and waiting.

Central is 1-0.

Wilson is 1-0.

These are two of the premier programs not only in the Lancaster-Lebanon League, but in District 3.

And Central also has a shiny state-championship trophy in its overflowing case.

It should be a dandy … Barons against the Bulldogs.

I chatted with Coach Williams before practice on Tuesday. You can hear that interview in this audio Podcast.
