FORMER MANHEIM CENTRAL STAR WIDEOUT GRAHAM ZUG IS NOW A FULL SCHOLARSHIP PLAYER FOR PENN STATE
According to this published report, former Manheim Central standout Graham Zug has earned a scholarship from Penn State, where he plays wideout for coach Joe Paterno and the Nittany Lions.
The 6-2, 175-pound redshirt sophomore was a former walk-on, but now he’s got a full scholarship in his back pocket.
Paterno made the announcement Friday during Penn State’s annual Media Day session.
Zug, an All-State performer while playing for the Barons, appeared in eight games last season (he got in on 42 snaps) and he caught one pass for eight yards – that after a coming-out party of sorts in the Blue-White Game, when he hauled in four passes for 47 yards, including a TD grab.
Zug and the Lions open their season Aug. 30 at home against (gulp) Coastal Carolina.
