Future Lancaster-Lebanon League baseball players listen up:

The Lancaster Junior Barnstormers are having open tryouts for players ages 9-16 in August and September.

You can find information about how to tryout on the organization’s Web site: lancasterjuniorbarnstormers.com.

These teams have really taken off – the 10-under team won the East Coast Travel Baseball National Tournament and was ranked as the No. 1 travel baseball team in the state. That team only lost three games all season.

The 13-under team won five tournaments and is ranked No. 2 in the state.

The 12-under team will be competing in a tournament in Cooperstown later this month.

Events for the upcoming season include a spring training tournament in Arizona, the Wide World of Sports National Tournament, the College World Series Tournament in Omaha, and a trip to Cooperstown.

The older age groups will attend a First Class Showcase Tournament, where they’ll play in front of college and professional scouts.

Check the Web site for more information.
