There is a boys’ basketball coaching vacancy in the Lancaster-Lebanon League.
Our boys’ basketball beat writer, Jason Guarente, is reporting that Chris Sherwood has resigned his post at Manheim Central.
He is leaving to take a job at Penn State-Harrisburg, where he’ll join another former L-L League coach.
Here are the details …
Chris Sherwood is moving into the college ranks.
Manheim Central’s boys’ basketball coach has resigned to accept a job at Penn State-Harrisburg, his alma mater. He’ll serve as an assistant to former Annville-Cleona coach Mike Gaffey.
Sherwood spent two years as Central’s varsity coach. He guided the Barons to a 15-10 record and appearances in the Lancaster-Lebanon League and District 3 Triple-A playoffs last season.
There are two vacancies in the L-L League: Manheim Central and Ephrata. Annville-Cleona hired Mark Linebaugh to replace Gaffey.
