JEFFREY REINHART jreinhart@LNPnews.com
He is the point man for perhaps the most unique offense in the Lancaster-Lebanon League.
Every time he takes a snap, he’s in the shotgun.
He’s got a cannon for an arm.
He’s nimble, can throw on the run, and often has at least four wideouts at his disposal.
He overcame a scary injury in his sophomore season to have a breakout junior year, when he completed a whopping 176-of-287 passes for 2,077 yards and 17 touchdowns, for a QB rating of 134.0 – sixth-best in the league.
He’s spent this summer on the road, visiting college campuses and competing in camps.
And he’s poised for a big senior season, which will be here in a little over a month.
Oh yeah, and did I mention that he has his own Web page?
Say hello to Lebanon senior quarterback James Capello, who pilots the Cedars’ fun-and-gun ‘Air Raid’ offense.
In this Podcast – the third in my summer series on returning L-L League football standouts – hear James chat about running the ‘Air Raid’ offense, about how former Conestoga Valley and Wilson coach Jim Cantafio helped him out early in his career, about all his college visits this summer, including a recruiting update, and about the Cedars’ hopes in Section 2 this season.
And be sure to check out his Web page, won’t you?
