He was a key cog on the second-ranked defense in the Lancaster-Lebanon League last fall.
And he’ll be one of the best linebackers in the league this season. He plays a pretty mean fullback, too. And he’ll be blowing up holes – and getting a few carries himself – for one of the most unique offenses in the L-L League. Does the word Razorback ring a bell?
He already has one scholarship offer in his back pocket – and if everything goes as planned, he should have many, many more before his senior season is over.
He is Nick Sizemore.
And Manheim Township’s linebacker/fullback is poised for a monster senior season – which begins in a little over a month.
I had a nice chat with Nick – who is the first of what I hope are several interview subjects coming up over the next couple of weeks.
I’m trying to get in touch with some of the top players coming back to the league this season, and have a quick-hitter interview. I have a call into three other players at the moment, and when I get those finished, I’ll get those posted as soon as possible.
In this first interview, Nick talks about Township’s super run last season, which included the Section 1 title and a trip to the District 3 Quad-A semifinals. There is some chat about Razorback, as well, along with Nick’s recruiting trail update, and a sneak peek at how Township might fare this fall.

I wonder how Townships line will be this year? I read on Penn Live's web site that Wilson has almost their entire defense back from last year. And this is a team that played Harrisburg tough in the playoffs last year. So I imagine that Wilson will probably be a pre season favorite.....

I heard MT has some up and comers on the line - a junior that should be able to step up and some seniors that took backseat's last year - should be an interesting season! I'll be rooting for Hempfield!

While Manheim Township had an unforgettable season last year, I think it's going to be extremely difficult for them to repeat that effort. You can't underestimate what that veteran offensive line and David Soldner did for them. I have to agree with the other poster, that Wislon will be the favorite. While they lost Jake Stopper offensively, their entire defensive team will return. I think that you should also keep any eye on Hempfield. Last year was a fluke and I believe they have just about their entire team returning this year. Eric Macik and Jarvis Cummings both return and their offensive line is huge. I am looking forward to the LL season.
