Another reminder on the comments — I can’t respond to them, but please know that I do read them. So thanks for any and all notes.
Greetings once again.
Man, things really slow down around here when the school year ends and the spring sports seasons are finished.
Hope you enjoyed our spring sports all-star tab last week. A ton of work went into that puppy, and I hope you enjoyed the finished product.
Glad to see the county had a state champ this spring, when Lancaster Mennonite brought home the girls’ soccer PIAA Double-A crown. Congrats again to the Blazers. It was a lot of fun getting to cover their magical ride.
Happy to report that we had a nice week at the beach in south Jersey. The first couple of days were wicked hot, but the back half of the week was pleasant.
Will also report that we did eat out a few times, but in every instance, I ordered a chicken dish. Ice cream shop? I had the sugar free chocolate/vanilla swirl. Candy store? Sugar free taffy. Pizza shop? Wow, just one visit, and I had one (uno) slice. That’s it. Exercise? Rebecca discovered a terrific walking route on the boardwalk, which was a 3 ½ mile loop – which, I’m proud to say, I walked every single morning. Those hot mornings were murder, but walking with my iPod on definitely helped.
Must also report that when we returned and I hopped up on the scale, I’d gained four pounds. Ugh.
But I’m happy to report (plenty of reporting in this post, eh?) that I quickly lost that weight, and that I’m very much back on track and doing, well, OK.
I still have cravings, and I’d still love to eat like 10 cheeseburgers and a pound and a half of fries, but I’m hanging in there.
Alrighty, an update for you:
STARTING WEIGHT: 319.
LAST UPDATE: June 6 – 290.
CURRENT WEIGHT – 288.
NOTABLE: When we returned from the beach last weekend, I was up to 294, so that sugar free ice cream and sugar free taffy wasn’t as good for me as I first suspected. Hardy-har-har. No really – we did eat out a few times, so I suspected that I’d come home either the same, or maybe a pound or two heavier or lighter (I did walk a ton, so I figured that would help, too). It was heavier, but I was OK with that, and jumped right back in headfirst. If I go by the last week, I lost six pounds. Overall, including the week at the shore, I lost two pounds since my last official weigh-in on my new official digital scale. Someone suggested a digital scale in a comment post, and I’m glad I listened; this thing is sweet. So since I got this sucker started on May 8, I’m down 31 pounds. I’m wasting away to nothing here, gang.
