Columbia standout Mike Seibert has made a pair of decisions:
First, which sport he’ll play in college.
Basketball.
Second, where he’ll ply his trade at the next level.
The Crimson Tide’s 5-11 senior guard – who also starred on the football field as the school’s all-star quarterback – will play basketball for the Marauders next season.
Seibert helped Columbia go 26-5 this past season, which included the Section 4 championship and a trip to the semifinals in the L-L League and District 3 Double-A playoffs.
The sharpshooter averaged 18.2 points a game, plucked 4.7 rebounds a game, and dished out 4.1 assists a game for the Tide, which bowed out in the PIAA playoffs.
Seibert, a four-year starter and a 1,000-point scorer, was a Lancaster Newspapers All-League pick, and he earned Third-Team All-State honors from the Associated Press.
Seibert will join a Millersville team looking to replace another sharpshooter: gunslinger Charlie Parker, who helped the Marauders reach the NCAA Division 2 playoffs this past season.
