Another day, another no-hitter in Lancaster-Lebanon League girls’ softball action.
One day after Cocalico’s Kaitlynn Toner fired a no-no in the Eagles’ 6-0 win over Garden Spot, Donegal’s Lindsay Bollinger pulled off the trick in the Indians’ 8-0 win over Elco in Mount Joy.
And Bollinger nearly tossed a perfect game; she walked one batter — who was erased on a double play. So Donegal’s sophomore faced the minimum of 21 hitters.
Against Elco, Bollinger had six strikeouts and just the one walk, and the Indians scored eight runs on seven hits and took advantage of a pair of Elco errors and five walks, as Donegal improved to 4-0 in Section 3 play and 5-2 overall.
