Lebanon Catholic’s Hailey Carangelo named third-team All-State by Associated Press

One Lancaster-Lebanon League player earned All-State status this season:

Lebanon Catholic sophomore Hailey Carangelo, who averaged 15.6 points a game and drilled 19 3-pointers this season, earned third-team Single-A honors from the Associated Press.

Carangelo helped the Beavers finish third in the L-L League Section 4 race, and then into the District 3 Single-A championship game for the second year in a row. Lebanon Catholic lost to Reading Central Catholic in the title game, but the Beavers won a first-round state-playoff game and finished 15-14 overall.

Carangelo, who will enter her junior season with 646 career points, scored 27 points in the Beavers’ 57-46 win over Girard College in the first round of States, and she was a unanimous Section 4 all-star pick this season.
