Looks like day two of the PIAA Triple-A swimming championships is going a little better for Lancaster County entrants.
One day after just two swimmers from the county qualified for the finals, five (5) swimmers will go for the gold Thursday night after solid showings in the preliminary heats.
KEVIN BRAZITIS, the Manheim Township senior who won the silver in the 100 butterfly on Wednesday, earned the 6th seed in the 100 free (46.65).
COLIN SCHOUTEN, the Warwick junior who finished 11th in the 200 free on Wednesday, earned the No. 2 seed in the 500 free (4:34.59).
CARI CZARNECKI, the Cocalico senior who won the sixth-place medal in the 100 fly on Wednesday, earned the No. 2 seed in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.14).
EMILY EIDEMILLER, a junior at Warwick, earned the No. 4 seed in the 100 backstroke (58.22).
DANA SCHLIEF, a sohomore at Hempfield, earned the No. 7 seed in the 100 backstroke (58.78).
They will all earn medals tonight.
I’ll post those results when they come across.
