Best individual effort: 28 points – Chrissy Taylor, Jan. 9 vs. Penn Manor in the Spartans’ heart-pounding 80-78 double-OT win. Taylor also hit four 3-pointers that night.

MVP: Chrissy Taylor – The Spartans senior shooting guard saved her best for last, leading Garden Spot in scoring (12.8) and 3-pointers (43), and she was particularly tough down the stretch, including that 28-point night against Penn Manor, which featured a buzzer-beater. Taylor averaged 13.2 points and hit 21 3-pointers in the Spartans’ final 11 games, when Garden Spot clinched its first section championship since 1974, went to the league playoffs for the second year in a row, and reached Districts for the first time since 2000. Taylor played a big role in this year’s run, and she’ll continue her hoops career next year at Ursinus College.
