TOP GAMES THIS WEEK
TUESDAY
Section 4
Lancaster Catholic (12-6, 10-2) at Lancaster Mennonite (17-2, 11-1)
Mennonite is one game clear of Catholic, and the Blazers topped the Crusaders 45-40 on Dec. 21 at Catholic. Another win would clinch a sweep of the season series, and put the Blazers ahead by two with three games to play. If Catholic wins, it will be an interesting ride to the finish line. Keep an eye on: Catholic senior F Brittany Ryder, who is averaging 20.3 points in her last four games.FRIDAY
Section 1
Hempfield (16-3, 10-2) at Cedar Crest (16-3, 11-1)
The Falcons won the first meeting 46-43 at Hempfield on Jan. 2. If Cedar Crest can get past Manheim Township and Hempfield can handle Warwick on Tuesday, this showdown will be for first place. Could be a photo finish in Section 1. Keep an eye on: Cedar Crest sophomore G Meghan Phillips, who is averaging 15.2 points with six 3-pointers in her last five games.
