What a season for Lampeter-Strasburg’s football team, which lost its first game this season, was tripped up by rival Lancaster Catholic in Week 5, and then went on a magical run all the way to a District 3 Triple-A championship and into the PIAA Eastern Final.

The Pioneers were rewarded for their excellent season in the final Harrisburg Patriot-News state poll, which ranked L-S No. 4 in Triple-A.

Compliments of the AP Wire, here is the complete Triple-A poll:

CLASS TRIPLE-A
1. Thomas Jefferson (7) 16-0 1
2. Pine-Richland (7) 10-2 7
3. Garnet Valley (1) 13-2 2
4. Lampeter-Strasburg (3) 12-3 3
5. Unionville (1) 11-1 4
6. West Scranton (2) 12-2 5
7. Selinsgrove (4) 11-3 10
8. Montour (7) 12-1 9
9. Erie Strong Vincent (10) 11-2 6
10. Gettysburg (3) 12-2 8
