HERSHEY — Greetings from the stadium. Just got set up and plugged in. Is there anything in the world greater than wireless internet, I ask?

Gettysburg and L-S are on the field warming up. Not a lot of wind, but it’s chilly.

Stay tuned for more updates.

5:56 — Wow. One of Gettysburg’s assistant coaches is wearing shorts. Yikes. It’s gotta be 38 degrees down there. Flags hanging around the stadium are basically limp. Not much of a breeze. But it’s chilly.

Kissing Tower has a Christmas Tree on top of it. Very sparkly.

So, Paterno makes $512,000, eh? Thought it would be more.

6:03 — I knew there was a reason why I like my gig: hot dogs, soda, hot chocolate and Hershey’s Kisses in the press box. Mmmm, hot chocolate. Only thing missing in here is a little boys’ room.

Are these terrific live updates, or what? Where else can you get this stuff?

6:52 — Gettysburg taking the field. And here comes L-S. Gettysburg band is pretty good, by the way. Snappy.

Coin toss — L-S won the toss and will receive!

FIRST QUARTER

Justin Taylor returned the opening kick 53 yards, but L-S went 3 and out.

7-0 L-S — 4:35 – Joe Good plunges 1 yard for a TD. Taylor PAT is good. Drive set up when DB Jonny Gainer picks off Evan Lewis near midfield.

END OF THE FIRST QUARTER

7-0 L-S, but Gettysburg has 1st-and-goal at the 6.

SECOND QUARTER

7-7 — 11:52 – Gettysburg’s Justin Jones 6-yard run on first play of second quarter. Lewis PAT good.

14-7 L-S — 9:07 – Joe Good dives in from the 1. Taylor PAT good. Drive set up when Derek Lefever returns kick 32 yards. Drive also included Brett Graeff’s long completion to Abe Mellinger, who hauled in a lucky duck pass and went 53 yards.

Evan Lewis hooks a 30-yard field goal, keeping the score 14-7 L-S. Warriors’ were whistled for a delay call, pushing the attempt from 25 to 30 yards. And then he missed it.

21-7 L-S — 2:09 – Justin Taylor picks off a pass and returns it 69 yards for a score. Pass was underthrown a tad and Taylor swooped over from his safety spot, picked it off and took it to the house, dodging a couple of guys along the way. Wow.

HALFTIME — 21-7 L-S

THIRD QUARTER

L-S 21, Gettysburg 14 — 8:43 – Evan Lewis 12-yard TD toss to Justin Jones on a screen. Terrific drive to open the third quarter for the Warriors.

L-S 28, Gettysburg 14 — 2:57 – Justin Taylor 17 run. Taylor PAT good. Pioneers pulling away.

END OF THIRD: L-S 28, Gettysburg 14.

FOURTH QUARTER

L-S 35, Gettysburg 14 – Joe Good scores his third TD on a 9-yard run. Taylor PAT good. Rob Zimmerman’s 14-yard run set up Good’s score.

L-S 35, Gettysburg 21 — 3:35 – Cody Trail picks up a blocked punt and rumbles 55 yards for a score. Lewis PAT good. Interesting …
