PENN MANOR LOCKS UP A SPOT IN SATURDAY’S TRIPLE-A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME OPPOSITE EMMAUS

Penn Manor celebrates win over Mount St. Joseph on Tuesday // LNP photoKristi Shepps and Jill Witmer scored goals and Penn Manor kept on chugging along Tuesday with a 2-0 victory over Mount St. Joseph in a PIAA Triple-A semifinal game.

Next stop for the Comets: The state final.

Penn Manor will take on Emmaus, which knocked off previously unbeaten Lower Dauphin 1-0 in Tuesday’s other state semifinal match.

Lower Dauphin had won its last 56 games in a row before being tripped up by Emmaus.

Penn Manor and Emmaus will square off on Saturday at high noon in J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown for state gold.
