Solanco grad Priscilla Jennings finished in ninth place in the 1,500 meter run at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Johnson C. Smith University.
Jennings posted a time of 4:38.61 in the final heat of the 1,500 meter run. She missed earning All-America status by 0.15 seconds.
Jennings is the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion in the 800 and 1,500 meter runs. She qualified for the NCAA Championships by running a 4:34.97 at the Bucknell Bison Classic on April 13. She was the first runner to qualify for the NCAA Championships since 2005 when Hempfield grad Christina Carpenter ran in the 100-meter dash.
