Solanco grad Priscilla Jennings finishes 9th in NCAA Division 2 1,500-meter run for MU

MU’s Priscilla Jennings // LNP photoSolanco grad Priscilla Jennings finished in ninth place in the 1,500 meter run at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Johnson C. Smith University.

Jennings posted a time of 4:38.61 in the final heat of the 1,500 meter run. She missed earning All-America status by 0.15 seconds.

Jennings is the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion in the 800 and 1,500 meter runs. She qualified for the NCAA Championships by running a 4:34.97 at the Bucknell Bison Classic on April 13. She was the first runner to qualify for the NCAA Championships since 2005 when Hempfield grad Christina Carpenter ran in the 100-meter dash.
