Two Lancaster-Lebanon League athletes had outstanding pitching performances on Monday:

BRANDON HINKLE, Hempfield – The Black Knights’ sophomore tossed a no-hitter in Hempfield’s 2-0 win over Cocalico in a Section 1-2 crossover game. Hinkle allowed just three walks and struck out 12 for the Knights.

BECKY BENNER, Conestoga Valley – The Buckskins’ senior ace pitched a perfect game in CV’s 5-0 win over Penn Manor in a Section 1-2 crossover game. Benner, who pitched a no-hitter earlier this season (after pitching three no-hitters last season) retired all 21 hitters she faced Monday – 17 via strikeout.
