Brandon Heath isn’t getting comfortable

One of the more exciting voices in Christian music these days is Brandon Heath, whose husky country/rock voice I will probably always be able to hear singing “…don’t get comfortable …”
And now Heath, who already has a “New Artist of the Year” win under his belt, has a new number-one song to his credit, “Give Me Your Eyes,” off his new sophomore album, “What If We.”
Heath first separated himself from the rest of the unshaven young singer/songwriters when he topped radio charts in 2007 with “I’m Not Who I Was,” which was nominated for song of the year.
“Give Me Your Eyes” currently holds the No. 1 spot on iTunes Christian chart for its 10th consecutive week.
The track has sold more than 70,000 total downloads to date.
Heath is showing his commitment to his faith in various other ways, including playing along with some other exciting performers, like Sara Groves, Derek Webb and Charlie Peacock, on the new “Art/Music/Justice” tour.
The tour hopes to “further educate the church on God’s heart for justice, gain advocates for the oppressed and show evidence of a God at work in this world.”

Heath most recently served as a worship leader at The Loft church, in The Woodlands north of Houston, and now resides back in his hometown, Nashville.
