Third Day continuing to reach the masses with a message

Hello, and greetings back from Vacationland, and from opening or answering the boatload of emails and phone messages which that return brings.
Through this month of August, Third Day has gained a full head of steam with its new release “Revelation.”
And its main single “Call My Name” is currently the No. 1 Christian song in the country, making it Third Day’s 25th song to reach the top position on a Christian music chart.
And “Revelation,” the full-length effort released July 29, recently peaked at # 6 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, making it Third Day’s highest-ranking album effort so far, two spots higher than “Wherever You Are” reached back in 2005.
That puts Third Day, whose music is clear about the band’s faith, up there with everyone from the Jonas Brothers and the “Mamma Mia!” soundtrack to Kid Rock and Three Doors Down.
“Revelation” is still sitting pretty, at #24 on the latest Billboard charts.
As for concerts, Third Day has wrapped up a full slate of appearances at festival and fairs as summer comes to an end.
But now comes the “Music Builds Tour” with Switchfoot, Robert Randolph & The Family Band and Jars of Clay.
The 20-plus city tour, which supports efforts to build homes in communities around the world, starts tonight in Detroit.
It looks like it will get closest to Lancaster County on Sunday, Sept. 14, when it hits suburban Washington D.C.’s Nissan Pavilion.
