A new chapter begins for the Lancaster County Republican Committee on Tuesday when the more than 360 members choose a new chairman. Dave Dumeyer, chairman for the last six years, retired in January, and since then two people have stepped up to replace him: Frank Fryburg, the former commissioner in Manheim Township, and Craig Ebersole, currently serving as Lancaster County treasurer.
I can’t say after speaking with both tonight they have any radical ideas on how to shape the Lancaster County GOP after Dumeyer’s era has ended. Neither of them is a rabble rouser
or a firebrand. They seem more comfortable in a one-on-one setting.
For tomorrow’s print edition, they attempt to answer the question of how to build the GOP’s ranks with minority voters. I’ll let you decide whether the answers are satisfactory.
