… what I’m watching in the state House of Representatives, right now. The Democratic Majority leadership is trying to undo some of the reform rules that were passed in 2006, post pay raise.
The proposed rules they’re debating as I type would make it more difficult to end the day’s debate at 11 p.m., which would open up those 2 a.m. votes, again. Remember the pay raise? Another proposal would give the power House Rules Committe the ability to amend bills that come from the state Senate for concurrence. Again, remember the pay raise?
Unbelievable. And they’re doing this on the day they know us in the media are bogged down in a news cycle dominated by Ed Rendell’s budget address. Sneaky.
