Let’s summarize the last five days for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin:
Friday: She’s introduced to the world as Republican John McCain’s running mate. While many conservatives praise her stances on abortion and reputation as a fighter against corruption, many scratch their heads in confusion as they wonder just who is Palin.
Saturday: While in Washington, Pa., Palin’s praise of Hillary Clinton is booed by the Republican crowd.
Monday: It’s revealed her 17-year-old daughter, still in high school, is pregnant. Critics immediately slam Palin for being an abstinence education-only candidate.
Tuesday: Fallout continues from the pregnancy revelation and the Washington Post reports that as mayor of a tiny Alaska town of 6,500 people, Palin with the assistance of a power lobbying firm secures $27 million in federal earmarks during her four-year term.
Not exactly the ideal way to introduce a veep pick.
