Should Gwen Ifill be the moderator of Thursday night’s debate between GOP Gov. Sarah Palin and Democratic Sen. Joe Biden, this year’s only scheduled face-to-face clash between the vice presidential nominees?
Michelle Malkin doesn’t think so.
In a column posted today on National Review Online, she points to Ifill’s coming book, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama, which is scheduled to be published on Inauguration Day, Ifill’s glowing words about Michelle Obama while covering the Democratic National Convention and the PBS correspondent’s dismissive coverage of Palin’s speech at the Republican convention.
I have to go with Malkin on this one, over the book alone.
If Obama wins, the book sells better, presenting a clear conflict of interest.
An Ifill choice for moderator
