Wall Street Journal: A referendum on Obama

Interesting.
A Wall Street Journal story today doesn’t go quite as far as Santorum — that Obama must goof to lose — but it does say that voters are looking at Obama first.

WASHINGTON — Midway through the election year, the presidential campaign looks less like a race between two candidates than a referendum on one of them — Sen. Barack Obama. …
This dynamic is underscored in a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll. The survey’s most striking finding: Fully half of all voters say they are focused on what kind of president Sen. Obama would be as they decide how they will vote, while only a quarter say they are focused on what kind of president Sen. McCain would be.

Not good news for John McCain, to be sure.

Or it could be that voters know John McCain and the kind of president he'll be whereas Obama is an empty suit with no record who has changed positions if he thought there was a vote to be gained.
Will Obama throw America under the bus? Look at all the people under there that Obama owes, Jeremiah Wright, Fr. Michael Pflueger (sp), Tony Rezko, and terrorist William Ayers to name a few.

Yeah Obama has some great ideas. More taxes on the rich. Yep, lets let the Government decide where the money gets spent that is hard earned. Hmm, lets see where charitable contributions go if this happens. Wanna bet they fall off significantly? If I make 300k and suddenly get taxed 3% higher you are talking a not so cool 9k out of my pocket. Guess where a percentage of that would have gone? Yeah, charity. Guess who is going to be the first to suffer? Hint: It ain't gonna be me and my family. Sadly, many of the people who will vote for Osama are the same people who will or do need the charitable contribution.

So you gave all of your previous tax cuts to charity?

Yeah, don't you know if taxes are cut Bush's favorite charities might be hurt?
Charities like the Military Industrial Complex, oil subsidies, and gifts of money so his big business cronies can move their manufacturing overseas to places where workers have no rights and they can dump their toxic manufacturing wastes unfettered.

Nope. I used it to save for my kids education. But I can assure you that when taxes go up education will not be what I cut. My daughter comes first; not the United Way.
